I have worked with cancer for over 35 years and during this time I’ve learned how to approach cancer with less toxicity and more efficiency. Chemotherapy may be useful in some cases but usually with less efficiency when we face cancer with metastasis condition. Another barrier to chemotherapy efficiency is the tumor resistance at the beginning or during chemotherapy from selective clonal mutations that impair P53 apoptosis pathway.

The P53 tumor suppressor gene and other novel molecular markers are essential to underline a cancer problem, to explain why a tumor is developed and if there is resistant cancer cells to apoptosis. P53 serve at the same time as a prognostic and to know if the anticancer therapy will be effective on tumor. We have developed a molecular strategy to target mutant P53 and overexpressed anti-apoptotic genes relationed to cancer cells resistance and tumor progression. The therapy has demonstrated efficiency to reactivate mutant P53 protein and decrease highly actived anti-apoptotic genes so cancer cells are self-destroy with efficiency.
